Format as Table Feature in Excel


Benefits of working with format as Table feature:
Found on the Home tab next to Conditional Formatting

Excel Format Table

  1. Freeze Pane is activated
  2. Sort/Filter is Activated
  3. Last row can be set as a Totals row.
  4. New Records are created by pressing TAB on the last cell or the last record without disturbing your summary total
  5. As your records and column headings grow they are kept together as a database. Making it a dynamic data set to use with Pivot tables and charts. Saves the need for creating an Offset function.

Ensure there are no blank columns or rows.
Tip: If need to use Subtotalling must turn off Table Feature.
Press convert to Range
