Custom view is greyed out


Custom view is a very useful tool when you find yourself printing various parts of your spread sheet, needing to change the page orientation for each of the print outs.

Option 1: Print all the  datamenu-cust-view

  1. Go to the View Tab
  2. Select Custom View
  3. Press the Add button
  4. Type the Name all

Option 2: Print only the quarteradd-cust-all

  1. Set your spreadsheet up with Grouping
  2. Collapse your levels
  3. Change any print setting – margins, page orientation
  4. Now – Follow the steps in Option 1 and name it Quarter.

Option 3: Print only the Grand Totalsgrand-total

  1. Collapse your levels
  2. Change any print setting – margins, page orientation
  3. Now – Follow the steps in Option 1 and name it Grand Totals.

When Custom View is greyed out, how to fix the problem.

It could be you have sheets grouped or you have Format as table activated.

Solutions:

How to ungroup sheets

  1. Right click on a sheet
  2. Select Ungroup sheets

To turn off Format Table

  1. Press Convert to Range

See Foramt as Table

My Custom view is greyed out and  I have no tables or sheets that are grouped.

Solutions: Copy paste the problem sheet to a new workbook.
