Making Lists using Excel. The Key is “Data Validation Lists”

To avoid entering incorrect product codes, account names, surnames…

To limit options to a pre-populated list try creating a Data Validation List using Excel.

  1. Type a list of StatesExcel-Computer-Courses-Sydney
  2. Select the cell/s to apply the list to
  3. Data Tab, Data tools group
  4. Select Data Validation
  5. In the Allow field
  6. Choose List form the drop down arrow
  7. In the Source Field
  8. Select the range of cells with the States
  9. You know have a drop down arrow to select a state for your data entry.
