Making your Word Document Headings Consistent
When you are in Microsoft Word and it’s your job to create a lengthy document the best thing you can do is to use Styles. They create a consistency in the formatting of your headings and sub headings. Styles will also allow you to re arrange large amounts of data quickly easily and with no confusion. No need to cut and paste and lose your train of thought. Watch this video on how to create styles using Microsoft Word.
The Navigation Pane is used to not only navigate from heading to heading but also to re arrange topics in logical order. If you use style you can easily convert your Word document to a PowerPoint presentation. Sometimes you need to step back from your Word document and view two or more pages side by side. Use the Zoom tool found at the bottom right-hand corner by pressing the plus or minus sign or moving the leaver back and forth. My favourite technique for Zooming is Ctrl and roll the wheel of the mouse.
